FZ Shared Inset Day 2017
On February 20th 2017 Futurezone will host its first shared Inset for all staff. The guest speaker will be Matthew Syed author of “Bounce” and “Black Box Thinking”. A number of different networks and schools will be exploring the key pedagogical messages behind Matthew and contemporaries work and developing professional development and pupil opportunities prior to and after the Inset day.

Middle Leaders’ Training 2016/17
The programme will support participants to become more effective and confident in their roles, by enabling them to:
• reflect on and audit their leadership skills
• understand what it means to be an effective strategic leader
• deepen and widen their understanding of how they influence, lead and manage others in the organisation
• develop the specific leadership skills and qualities needed to effectively lead
• engage in a personalised project to develop and apply their leadership skills in their own organisation
• develop as a reflective learning professional.

School Business Manager Network
The aim is to encourage shared practice, knowledge and experience. The focus for this year with challenging budgets is joint purchasing power, collaborating to secure best value deals. One of the objectives for this year is create a database of known suppliers and contractors to our network.
The network meets once a term with invited guests to lead discussions about the range of multi-disciplinary areas managed and led by School Business Managers. There is a termly newsletter produced with an overview of the activity during each term within the SBM network.
