As some of you know, I am part of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on a Fit and Healthy Childhood. We have just completed our latest report, on PE, which launched this week. A link to this report is below:

The report is a bit lengthy but there are some clear themes that come through including the need for teacher training and support, and the better management of private providers. It’s clear throughout the report that the importance of PE in schools needs to be raised also. I hope you can find time to read through the report, and find some inspiration to continue to making time for this important subject.
The work of the Future Zone PE Network is described as a case study on page 32. Perhaps this demonstration of what we have started to achieve will be an impetus to get PE Co-ordinators to FZ PEN meetings this year.
